The starting point for this scenic hike is the car park in the Winnebachtal valley in Terento/Terenten, which is only 15-25 minutes away from our hotels in South Tyrol. From here you go to the Astnerbergalm, pass the rushing waterfall, and then follow the path No. 23 over steep, hardly wooded slopes. Then you hike over the Huberwiese uphill to the Tiefrastenhütte at 2,312 metres. There’s no doubt that the lake is incredibly idyllic. It’s the perfect place for having a picnic and cooling your feet in the refreshing water.
