A short tour through the South Tyrolean wine landscape

South Tyrol is known to have mineral-rich soils. Different grape varieties are cultivated here depending on the specific area and its peculiarities. South Tyrol even boasts three native varieties: Schiava/Vernatsch, Lagrein and Gewürztraminer. These are cultivated –together with other popular varieties such as Pinot noir, Riesling, Sylvaner and Merlot – on a surface of ca. 5,300 hectares. Our wine list features a wide choice of first-class wines, which witness to South Tyrol’s well established wine-making tradition. Our sommeliers are there to advise you on the best wine accompaniment to enhance your gourmet menu.
