St. Nicholas and Krampus parades have a long tradition here in Val Pusteria/Pustertal. Be part of it!
Are you a fan of moments of horror? Every year at the beginning of December, when it gets dark, St. Nicholas and the Krampus set off on their adventure – near our hotels in South Tyrol. According to tradition, St. Nicholas rewards the good children with presents, while Krampus punishes the bad ones with his rod. Over the years, this tradition has developed into a real spectacle for visitors of all ages. Although the actual Krampus day is December 5th, the Krampus terrify South Tyrol from the end of November to mid-December. They are accompanied by St. Nicholas. In Brunico/Bruneck, located a few minutes by car from our hotels in the Dolomites, St. Nicholas walks through the city centre accompanied by two angels and presents all children with a St. Nicholas bag at the Tschurtschenthaler Park. The oldest Krampus run in South Tyrol takes place every year on 7 December in Dobbiaco/Toblach. Get ready to meet 600 Krampus and Saint Nicholas and do not miss the legendary Krampus party.
