WINTER WELLNESS BLISS

Below you will find a short extract of our rich and varied events organized at the hotel plus other recommendations for activities in the vicinity.

SUNDAY

• POLENTA & STRUDEL FESTIVAL at the Haidenberg Inn in Stefansdorf. The Haidenberg Inn can be reached from Stefansdorf over route #4 in about one hour on foot or by car.
• At 6:45 PM you are invited for an APERITIF with fine canapés! Join us for days of relax at the Winkler Sport Hotel****!
• WELLNESS TOUR at 9:00 PM. We will guide you through the sauna booths and show you the new beauty farm "feeling" with explanation of the many wellness treatments.

MONDAY

• BREAD TRAIL - Easy adventure excursion to the "Totscherhof" farm.  Here you can experience the life of mountain farmers on your skin by watching how bread is baked in an old stone oven.
• BICYCLE TOUR into the marvelous AHRNTAL with its more than 80 peaks over 3,000 meters to Taufers Castle and the Rheinbach Waterfalls and back.
• NORDIC WALKING "The Adventure World of Nordic Walking“ in nature. Fitness. Park. Kronplatz. Dolomites.
• Our kitchen staff will prepare for you typical SOUTH TYROLEAN SPECIALTIES with recipes straight out of grandma's book of recipes – you can choose cold starters and soup to heart's content at the buffet! Enjoy your meal...

TUESDAY

• LIVE MUSIC Tonight after dinner Tom will entertain you with his keyboard and songs!

WEDNESDAY

• EXCURSION with Albert. We will start off from Terenten and hike without rushing to the PERTINGER FARM (2,070m) and then to the cross on the summit on the "Spitzelhöhle" (2,316m). The more skilled hikers of the group can continue further on to Terner Jöchl (2,405m) Total time: about 5h.
• OUR TIP: Visit to the FARMERS' MARKET from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the bus station in Bruneck.
• TRADITIONAL BREAD BAKING in the old stone oven and tasting of "Bauernbreatls" bread.
• ITALIAN EVENING We will pamper you with Mediterranean specialties: pasta, fish and many Italian specialties at the buffet. Buon Appetito!

THURSDAY

• Guided ADVENTURE EXCURSION with the mountain guide Franz Erlacher. By car to Prettau, then with the bus to Kaser. From there excursion to the Brugger Farm and Steger Farm and then descent to the starting point in Prettau.
• BINGO EVENING at the all-day bar in evening from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• BRIXEN SUMMER EMOTIONS High spirits, lively streets, a sea of lights, colorful bustling and joyous company surrounded by the enchanting setting of the old town. A variety of culinary delights and South Tyrolean specialties will delight your palate and soul.

FRIDAY

• FARMERS' MARKET in the Graben in Bruneck from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM: you can buy plenty of products made by the local farmers.
• CULTURAL TOUR TO THE WEILER SONNENBURG with your guide, Peter Ausserdorfer.
• HERBS AND CHEESE: A never-ending gift of nature! Visit to the "Bergila" herb garden in Issing near Pfalzen and visit to the pine oil distillery. Excursion along the herb trail to the "Gatscherhof" demonstration cheese dairy.
